You’ve got questions; we’ve got answers. These are our most frequently asked questions (FAQs) at RiverWorks Coworking.
What is coworking... and why is it a good fit for me?
A coworking office space is unlike traditional office spaces, where you pay not only rent but also for utilities and wifi. Top that with spending money on office furniture and business machines like printers/copiers/scanners. The list goes on and on. Our space includes furniture, a business center, fast WiFi, a bookable conference room, kitchenette, free coffee, and more for ONE monthly price. From our RiverWorks flex desks to our dedicated desks to private office memberships, rest assured your need for community, comfort, and privacy will be met!
What are your hours?
You’ll see our happy, caffeinated faces bright and early at 8am, and we’ll lock up at 4:30pm. However, monthly members get 24/7 access to our space with your fob, which means there’s always an outlet for a 2 am stroke of genius. Day Pass users and visitors have access from 8am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. Please see our Hours & Location page for our holiday hours.
Can I bring my pet?
Despite their powers of persuasion, Lassie and her furry friends need to stay behind. (That said, we ARE animal lovers! Please share photos of your dogs and cats with us.) If you have a service animal who assists you with work-related tasks, please contact us so we can accomodate you.
Can I decorate or personalize my office?
Absolutely, we want you to make your office comfortable for you. Many members bring artwork or plants to decorate their dedicated desks or offices. If you want your own furniture, we’ll move ours out to accommodate yours. We even allow you to hang things on the walls of your office! We just ask that the office be returned to its original condition prior to moving out.
Is a coworking agreement considered a lease?
No, it’s not. Coworking isn’t regulated by a state’s real estate commission, primarily because it doesn’t have the long contracts and significant upfront costs that often accompany traditional leases. That means that becoming a member at a coworking space is less risky for you. Don’t need an office space anymore? Great, just let us know at least 30 days before you no longer need your flex desk, dedicated desk, or private office.
Do I have to commit to a year-long contract?
We know that the business world changes fast, so we’re not interested in locking anyone into a claustrophobia-inducing contract. Work with us month-by-month for as long as you’d like— just give us a 30-day heads up before you decide to roll outta here — but you do get a nice little price break when you commit for at least a year. 🙂
Sounds lovely, but isn't this super expensive?
It doesn’t have to be! We offer tiered memberships that are designed to fit each member’s specific needs. Our day passes start at $25, and you can become a flex workspace member for just $99 per month.
Want a private space? Our offices start at just $299 per month. If you factor in all the additional charges you’d have for WiFi, cleaning services, office equipment, and furniture, coworking is a steal!
When are payments due?
Payments are due on the 1st of every month. All memberships and payments will be prorated to the 1st of every month.
What are the amenities I can enjoy at RiverWorks?
Do we have amenities! Here are a few that members will enjoy:

- Bottomless coffee and filtered water station (bring your own water bottles)

- Business center for printing, copying, faxing, and scanning
- Bookable conference room (with 85″ monitor and whiteboard)
- Podcast room (at an additional fee)
- 24/7 monitored for security
- 24/7 access for monthly memberships
- Free parking (on a first-come basis)
Can I switch between spaces?
Yes, you can upgrade your membership at any time or switch to another available desk or office if your current workspace isn’t meeting your needs. If you decide to upgrade mid-month, we will prorate your membership. If you would like to have a different dedicated desk or private office, please contact our Community Manager to discuss your options.
I need a space for all of my meetings, not just a desk.
No problem! RiverWorks has a top-notch, presentation-equipped Conference Room that can accommodate groups up to 15 people. Rooms are bookable by the hour, half-day, or full-day and are open to the public. Members with a dedicated desk or private office receive 1-4 complimentary credit hours per month, depending on their membership, to book either the Conference Room or Podcast Studio.
If I'm a member, can I have guests?
Yes, you can have guests, but we do have some guidelines we’d like you to follow. If you book the Conference Room or Podcast Studio, guests are welcome to join you in that space for the duration of your booking. We just ask that you don’t exceed the maximum occupancy for the space you’ve booked.
Guests are also welcome to join you in your private office or in any of our common spaces for up to an hour. If you want to work together for more time, we can hook your guest up with a day pass (prices start at $25).
What's the parking situation?
We have lots of free parking at RiverWorks Coworking. At RiverWorks, we have parking in front of the building, behind the building, and across the street for our members and visitors.
Do I need to book a tour, or can I just drop by?
Please book a tour so that we can prepare for your visit. We’ve made the process very simple: just pick a time that works for you, and fill out our short questionnaire so we can customize your tour. It takes about 15 minutes to tour our entire coworking space, but our system will send you an invite for a 30-minute meeting so you have time to get all your questions answered.
If you’d like to test drive our coworking space immediately after your tour, we recommend you bring your laptop and/or other work supplies that you may need. You are welcome to test out any of our available dedicated desks or private offices or our flex desk area.
